False Albacore, Euthynnus alletteratus
Why is it called a False Albacore? Because the Little Tunny is not part of the Thunnus genus like true tunas. Nevertheless they fight just like them and fly fishermen flock to the beaches and jetties of the New England shore in the fall to seek them out. They are a symbol of fall on Martha's Vineyard. Notecard measures 4 1/2" x 5 1/2," includes an envelope, and comes in a clear plastic sleeve.
