StarGuy solar filters are designed to give you the best viewing and imaging experience for this event and all solar viewing. When you view an image through the StarGuy Solar Filter, the sun appears in neutral white delivering an exceptional observing experience with more detail than from other filters. Some films and glass filters produce blurry reddish or bluish Solar images which in turn cuts part of the spectrum. Viewers will see detail and sharpness across the field of view of an eyepiece. The film is very durable and will not easily break or tear.

The filters have wrinkles and other imperfections, which are normal. These "imperfections" do not affect the image quality or safety of the filter. This is an asset as they improve the image contrast and enhance your view. The filter housing that holds the StarGuy solar filter is constructed of lightweight aluminum. The thumbscrews will ensure a secure fit on the front of your camera lens or optical tube.

  • The Filter housing is designed from lightweight aluminum, and attaches securely to your telescope with adjustable screws.
  • The StarGuy Solar Filter delivers an image of neutral color balance and with high contrast.
  • The StarGuy Solar Filter film is safe for use and is coated on both sides to eliminate the occurrence of pin holes.

This StarGuy solar filter will fit telescopes and camera lenses with an outside diameter of 5.15-6.39"

CAUTION: Never look at the Sun, either directly or through a camera lens, without a professionally made protective solar filter installed that completely covers the front of the camera lens, or permanent eye damage could result.
